Positive: Some reviewers praised exceptional instructors and helpful staff.
Negative: The reviews highlighted issues with equipment, instructors, class sizes, and perceived favoritism.

Inadequate Equipment and Disrespectful Instructors

The reviews highlighted several issues with the Great Lakes Truck Driving School, including outdated and poorly maintained equipment, as well as disrespectful and rude instructors. Author Myasia Wilcox specifically mentioned the state examiner, Sterling, as being uncooperative and having a negative attitude.

Inconsistent Instructors and Large Class Sizes

Some reviewers mentioned inconsistent instructors, with some being helpful and others being unresponsive. Author Laticia Jones noted that the class size was too large, with 26 students, making it difficult for instructors to provide individualized attention. She also questioned the motivation behind accepting so many students when the school couldn't provide adequate resources.

Limited Support and Special Treatment

Author Laticia Jones further criticized the school for only providing help to certain students, such as those with company contracts or women. This perceived favoritism led to longer training periods for some students and a sense of unfairness.

Exceptional Instructors and Helpful Staff

On the other hand, some reviewers praised the dedication and expertise of certain instructors. Authors Jesse Harris, Aidan Graham, Donald Grable, and Devon Jones all mentioned specific instructors who went above and beyond to help them succeed.
