At McGinnis Driver Safety Centers, we take pride in our long history of serving the needs of New Mexico since 1964. Our story began when Wyett McGinnis opened our first location in 1964, and it has been a family affair ever since. David W. McGinnis, who has been working and teaching in the family business for 50 years, took over ownership and operations in 1993. In 2023, Joleta Spears, J and J's Discovery Enterprises, LLC, joined the family business and took over ownership and operations on November 1st.
Over the years, we have remained the standard by which other driving schools are measured. We have continued to evolve and improve our services to meet the changing needs of our students and the community. With over 100 years of combined experience in driver's education and service to the community, our team of instructors and staff are dedicated to providing exceptional training and service to our students.
At McGinnis Driver Safety Centers, we specialize in providing driver training for teens and adults, as well as NM MVD written and road tests. Our training program is designed to provide our students with the skills and knowledge they need to become safe and responsible drivers.
