Our History

As one of the oldest and most respected driving schools in the region, Cornhusker Driving School has been dedicated to providing unparalleled driver's education since 1966. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the high-quality instructors we employ, including law enforcement officers and public school teachers with a combined teaching experience of over 100 years.

Our Instructors

We take great pride in our exceptional team of instructors, all of whom are certified and experienced in teaching driver's education. Our instructors are dedicated to providing our students with personalized attention and support, ensuring that they receive the best possible education. Meet our instructors:

• Dr. Pat Venditte, Founder and Instructor, holds a Doctorate in Education and has taught over 6,000 students in driver safety training.
• Mr. Todd Porter, Instructor, has 25 years of experience teaching Driver's Education and coaching wrestling.
• Mr. Tony Venditte, Instructor, is a former Douglas County Deputy Sheriff and has been working at Cornhusker Driving School for over 30 years.
• Mr. LaMon Marion, Instructor, has been teaching Driver's Education for over 20 years and is certified by the State of Nebraska to do senior citizen evaluations.
• Mr. Jimmy Chavez, Instructor, holds a certification in Driver's Education and is a certified bowling coach and shooting range safety officer.
• Mr. Joe Venditte, Instructor, has a Master's Degree in Organization Management and Economic Development and a background in police and military service.
• Mrs. Jennifer Otten, Instructor, has taught Driver's Education for over 20 years and is also an elementary music teacher.
• Katy Trimble, Instructor, received her Driver Education certification from Southeast Community College.

Our Services

We offer a variety of driver's education classes, including:

• Teen Class: Our comprehensive driver's education program designed specifically for teenagers, covering topics such as defensive driving, traffic controls, and licensing process.
• Driver Improvement/Defensive Driving Course: A specialized course designed to improve safe driving skills and reduce the risk of accidents.
• Permit Practice Test and NE Driver's Manual: A study guide and practice test to help prepare you for your driver's license exam.

Our Commitment to Safety

At Cornhusker Driving School, we take the safety of our students very seriously. That's why we emphasize the importance of wearing seatbelts, demonstrate the effects of drunk driving, and provide a hands-on experience with the Jaws of Life to show our students how to extricate someone from a vehicle.
